This is a very complete kit to install a 2005-2016 front axle and suspension in your 1967 - 1979 F250 2wd pickup. You'll need a 2005-07 SD steering box.

You can either raise your truck atleast 7" to clear the engine crossmember, or as little as 4" with notching your crossmember. The picture with the tape measure held to the fender is with a 33" tires and 7" of lift. Those lift numbers are with OEM used SD coils and you can use aftermarket lift SD coils for more lift.

Besides variation in the height the various parts accept, there are variations of the parts to match your specific frame. You will need to check my fitment guide (see URL below) to make sure you purchase the correct radius arm brackets in particular. There are five radius arm bracket (or 4 link) types for the variety of frame rail shapes and original bolt patterns. There are two track bar brackets and steering box plate types- supercab and everything but supercab. The spring buckets are the same type for all 2wd applications.

This kit is designed to be as close to bolt in as possible and uses existing factory drilled bolt holes and rivet holes. You'll still need to do a decent amount fo drillign and some welding for the SD steering box. With the right planning and preparation, this can be a weekend project. The handling, ride quality and braking of your truck will be dramatically improved going to a Super Duty Dana 60 and coil suspension.

I include plates to add a 2005-07 (and early 08) Super Duty steering gear box. Your factory power steering won't work. The steering conversion requires drilling 3 holes and welding the included plate to the frame rail in front of the crossmember.

I have a thorough write up on the conversion process here on my website. Please read through this before ordering. Written instructions are only on my website, not printed. See this page:

I have a fitment guide for you to figure out which RAB / 4 link bracket type you need here:

Here is a gallary page with dozens of pictures:

Radius Arm Bracket Type:

Generally, supercabs and F350s have a contoured bracket (except short beds), the others are straight. The other difference is the bolt pattern for your transmission crossmember supports. See the fitment guide page above.

-1967-72 and some 1973 trucks don't have any transmission crossmember support holes on the veritcal frame surface and need F25C

-Most 1973-1976 trucks seem to have the "F25b" hole pattern on the frame

-Most 1977 to 1979 trucks seem to have the "F25a" hole pattern on the frame

-Some 1976 trucks may have the later F25b pattern.

-Most 1968-72 trucks don't have these oem drilled holes, and need "F25c"

-1975-76 supercabs seem to need either "F25B" or "X25B" depending on the frame contour

-1977-79 supercabs seem to need either "F25A" or "X25A" depending on the frame contour

Lift Height:

There are two main considerations when deciding lift height- tire size and your engine crossmember. If you don't want to notch about a 7" by 2" area on each side of your crossmember, you need at leat 7" of lift.

Otherwise here is the lift height I recommend for tire sizes:

33" tire - 4" lift (4" bucket + oem used SD coil)
35" tire - 6" lift (4" bucket + 2" lift coil)
37" tire - 7" lift (7" bucket + oem used SD coil)
38" tire - 9" lift (7" bucket + 2" lift coil)
40" tire - 11" lift (4" bucket + 8.5" lift coil or 7" buckets+ 4" coil)

Note that you can use the buckets with less lift and a larger lift spring rather than using the bucket with more lift and a smaller spring, or vice versa.

4 Link Otion:

As an alternative to radius arm brackets, I have a 4 link kit that mounts in the same holes on the frame as the radius arm bracket. There are three different 4 link options depending on the amount of lift you'll have. All 4 link tubes have machined threads, not cheap weld on ends. Low lift 4 link is normally stocked and the higher lift 4 link normally has lead time.

Low lift 4 link- 3/8" wall 1.75" OD DOM tubes, Rock Krawler 1.25" threaded rod ends, with the upper tubes formed  in an "S" shape to wrap around the side of the frame. These work with standard height buckets with oem used SD coils, or low lift buckes with up to 2" lift springs.

High lift 4 link- 3/8" wall 1.75" OD DOM tubes, Rock Krawler 1.25" threaded rod ends. All 4 tubes are straight and mount underneath the frame. These work with standard height buckets and oem used coils on up to 4" lift SD coils, or Drop height buckets with 2" to 6" SD lift coils.

Mega lift 4 link- 0.283" wall 2" OD DOM tubes, Ballistic Fabrication 1.5" threaded rod ends. All 4 tubes are straight and mount underneath the frame. These tubes are signiciantly longer. These work with standard height buckets and 4" to 6" lift SD coils, or Drop height buckets with 6" to 8.5" SD lift coils. This setup looks really great with the drop buckets and 8.5" lift springs.  Keep in mind with this much lift you need high steer and a fabricated track bar bracket that is mounted higher up on the axle.

These 4 link are for sale separately but you save $200 when buying with teh front end kit becuase you won't need radius arm brackets
