This is a premium quality 4" diameter downpipe that has a 3" bend centerline. It is very hard to find a manufacturer with tooling to bend 4" tubing below a 4" centerline. It is heavy 1/8" wall polished stainless steel. What this means is that you get the best clearance possible to the firewall, heat is controlled, noise is controlled (at least to a small degree), and this part will never rust out. There is a 1/8 NPT port on the passenger side, at a location with plenty of available room on most classic Fords.
High quality V band clamps are included. Both ends have welded stainless V band flanges in place. The downstream end has two matching v band flanges- one in stainless, and one in mild steel. So you can continue your exhaust without worrying about welding mild steel to this downpipe, or you can continue in stainless.
The turbo flange is meant to work with 2003-2007 5.9 turbos. If you have a 12 valve engine, I highly recommend using an industrial manifold with the proper square ports, and use a HE351CW (common rail) turbo, with this downpipe. If you have a 98-02 24 valve, you can use a 2003 manifold that has the round ports. Getting the turbo and exhaust low make the exhaust as easy as it will get, it clears factory HVAC, and keeps engine bay heat down.
This is also sold in a 3" version.
A flex pipe downstream of this downpipe is recommended. We will be selling stainless flex pipes in 3" and 4" sizes.
