This is a complete bolt in kit designed to work on 1966 to 1979 GM medium duty trucks that gives a firewall mounted 11" Super Duty power brake booster and 1.5" bore master cylinder. It's important that you confirm fitment before ordering by comparing my pictures and measurements to your truck. There may be variations in these trucks I am not aware of. This kit is meant for trucks that have a firewall mounted master cylinder held on by two bolts that are 3.625" on center, horizontally spaced, same as the first picture here.

You will notice a dramatic increase in braking power and pedal feel getting rid of your original system and going to this setup.  This does away with the slave system and under mounted booster. This booster installs in about an hour and requires no cutting or permanent modification. It works with your existing brake pedal. You do need to add a proportioning valve. I offer a PV4 valve with flare adapter fittings that is sold separately.

For the brake line routing, you need to run two new lines (usually 1/4") from the new master cylinder down to a proportioning valve. The valve can be anywhere, but on the frame near the factory junction block is most convenient. Then the valve outputs get connected to each of the two existing circuits that feed each of the front/rear axles. This way you separate out two circuits and you reuse as much of the existing lines as possible.

Super Duty Components:

This kit comes with a Super Duty 11" dual diaphragm booster and 1.5" bore Super Duty master cylinder. The Ford parts are excellent, reliable, and easy to source. These parts are 100% brand new and high quality throughout. The booster has a very nice black powdecoated finish that will last for years. This is the same setup that a modern F550 truck would come with. This booster/master setup will feel like it was factory engineered for your C60.

C60 / 6000 applications have a long spacing from booster to pedal connection. We take the brand new Super Duty booster, cut the rod in half, and tig weld on a machined steel spacer. The spacer is solid in the middle so the integrity of the booster rod doesn't rely on the welds- although you can expect great weld quality.

These parts put out about 1600 psi of brake fluid pressure as well as a large volume of fluid. This is a more brake fluid pressure than an original system, with about the same volume. It also has a mechanical advantage of directly mounting to your pedal rather than relying on a slave/master system.
